Thousands of babies were born in Turkey and worldwide thanks to IVF Center of Memorial Şişli Hospital headed by Prof. Dr. Semra Kahraman.

Merck Serono Grant For Fertility Innovation’ (GFI) supports the advancement of science and innovative technologies in the fertility field. Since 2010, Merck Serono has been awarding grants that total up to 8 million euros to translational research projects that could potentially improve take home baby rate for the benefits of the patients.

In the last 5 years, 640 proposals from over 50 countries were reviewed by the GFI Scientific Committee.

Prof. Dr. Semra Kahraman pioneered many advances in IVF treatments and researches in Turkey. Her study ‘Identifying markers of oocyte competence through a maturation analyses’ aims to light up important points for potential IVF couples. While sharing the credit with her experienced research team, Dr. Kahraman mentioned the study will pave way for better success rates for the IVF patients.
