Children draw for a sustainable future

The painting contest which is themed as “The Nature in My Imagination” comes to the forefront as an organization which creates awareness about the environmental problems which affect all the humanity globally by drawing attention to how the world that will be left by us to the next generations is imagined by the children’s eyes.

Enhancing the awareness about protecting the nature and a sustainable future, the contest aims the children to draw the world in which they imagine to live in by reflecting their dreams with the incarnative power of the colors and art.

Painting Supports the Self-Confidence of Children

Highlighting that painting has significant benefits for children’s development, The Pedagogy Specialist Dr. Melda Alantar from the Department of Pediatrics at the Memorial Şişli Hospital gave the following information: “Painting is a tool of expression which is more powerful than worlds especially during the infantile period. It is a powerful instrument that reflects the personality traits, interpersonal relationships and value judgements of children. Therefore while it is sufficient for parents and teachers to provide children the opportunity to draw and encourage them to do so, it is also necessary to follow an educational approach which will accelerate the tendency to draw during the following periods. Rewarding the authors who ranked in the painting contest supports children’s self-confidence and development thanks to enabling them to be aware of their talent.

The deadline for the contest which can be participated in by all the preschool, elementary and secondary school students is April 1st …

Rules of the Competition

1- The competition will be held within three categories as the ages of 3-5, 6-9 and 10-13.

2- The pictures will be drawn on the drawing paper in the dimensions of 35cm x 50cm by crayons.

3-While it is necessary to convey the pictures via e-mail, the name, age, school, parent name and telephone number of the competitors should be written. Each competitor can participate into the competition only for once.

4-The original picture should be kept until the competition ends up.

5- The competitors can convey their pictures to the e-mail address [email protected] until the date of April 1, 2023, Saturday.
